“All izz well” from the movie “3 Idiots” has become a mantra for many, symbolizing positivity and resilience in the face of challenges. The dialogue underscores the power of the mind in shaping our perception of reality. By repeating this phrase, the characters in the movie not only comfort themselves but also reinforce a positive mindset that helps them navigate through difficulties.
The message aligns with the idea that our thoughts and beliefs greatly influence our experiences. By maintaining a positive outlook, even during tough times, we can trick our brains into feeling better and ultimately cope with adversities more effectively. This philosophy resonates with audiences, reminding them of the importance of optimism and self-belief in overcoming obstacles
The idea that the brain doesn’t distinguish between actual and imagined experiences is rooted in the concept of mental imagery and the brain’s processing of information. When we imagine something, the brain activates similar neural pathways as it would during a real experience. For example, if you close your eyes and imagine yourself walking on a beach, the same areas of your brain associated with walking and visualizing the beach scene would be active as if you were actually walking on the beach. This blurring of the lines between imagination and reality suggests that the brain treats imagined experiences as if they were real, at least to some extent. However, this requires one to have developed a profound levels of imagination power. The sustainability and success of such visualisations is possible only when one has started walking on to their inner pathways and have started cultivating a heightened sense of awareness and control over their thoughts and mental processes. This inner resilience enables them to engage in visualization techniques with greater clarity, focus, and intentionality, thereby augmenting the transformative effects of their mental imagery.
In Pratibignya philosophy, there is an emphasis on the self (Prati) recognition (abignya) as divine. This recognition is not just an intellectual understanding but a profound realization that the essence of individual consciousness is the same as universal consciousness. As the inner awareness deepens, outer experiences also transform. This interconnectedness of inner and outer dimensions of awareness blurs the distinction between the individual and the universal and between the imagined and the actual and among the both. In Pratibignya philosophy, the individual comes to recognize their true nature as not separate from the universal divine consciousness. As one deepens their inner awareness there is a profound impact on the individual’s outward visualization as well
The ability to deepen inner awareness, drive inner transformation and create outer impact, comes through a rigorous understanding and practice of Pratibignya. Through the practice of Pratibignya one can benefit both at the gross and subtle levels that can help an individual to transform and manifest significant potentialities into higher order realities.
At subtle levels, one can practice meditation and contemplation and dilute the distinction between actual and imagined experiences leading to more profound insights into the nature of their reality. The consistency in practice can help one to recognise the interconnectedness of all the experiences at gross and subtle levels. Reflecting deeply on the nature of consciousness and reality can lead to a deeper understanding of how the mind creates and perceives experiences. Through a regular practice one can also start becoming a witness to the experiences created, that can help in transcending limiting beliefs and conditioning, leading to personal transformation. These reflections can also help one to develop creative visualisation. Visualizing oneself merging with divine consciousness or experiencing deep states of bliss can lead to profound spiritual, social, emotional and professional experiences. In Pratibignya philosophy, there is an emphasis on the ultimate unity of all things. At a subtle level, the distinction between actual and imagined experiences dissolves, revealing a deeper truth about the nature of reality and consciousness. As one learns and deepens their hold on the inner world and expands their state of consciousness, the emotions and thoughts will also get impacted at the mind level. The mind that may influence external events, blurring the lines between inner and outer realities can become a powerful tool for personal, professional and social progress.
Here are some ways this concept can be applied:

  1. Visualization: The inner transformation through Pratibignya can significantly impact the quality and power of visualization. Visualization, as a tool for manifestation, becomes more potent and effective when it is aligned with one’s inner transformation. As individuals undergo inner growth and spiritual awakening, their consciousness expands, and they gain deeper insights into the creative power of their thoughts. Rather than merely focusing on surface-level desires or outcomes, they begin to cultivate a deeper understanding of their true essence and highest potential. This shift in awareness influences the quality of their visualization practices, allowing them to tap into a higher frequency of intention and manifestation. All of us are familiar with Science of Manifestation which says that that thoughts can manifest into reality. It suggests that by focusing on positive or negative thoughts, one can bring positive or negative experiences into their life. As one has transformed at subtle level, it will facilitate the creation and nurturing of a positive visualization consequently one can see significant positive changes in their lives at gross level as well.
Suppose someone undergoes a profound inner transformation through meditation and self-reflection practices. They develop a deeper sense of purpose and clarity about their career goals. When they engage in visualization exercises related to their career advancement, they no longer focus solely on external markers of success, such as wealth or status. Instead, their visualizations are infused with a sense of alignment with their true calling and contribution to the world. They envision themselves using their unique talents and abilities to make a positive impact on others, leading to greater fulfilment and success in their professional endeavours. In my 27 years of experience as a Talent and Leadership Development Professional, I have seen many people leveraging the visualization techniques to rehearse and prepare for challenging situations. For example, I seen many individuals visualizing themselves giving a successful presentation. They have reported that this has helped them to reduce anxiety and improve performance when they were actually giving the presentation.
  2. Goal Setting: Inner transformation through the practice of Pratibignya often brings about a deeper awareness and understanding of one’s values, passions, and purpose in their life. With this clarity, individuals can set goals that are more aligned with their true essence and aspirations. Rather than pursuing goals based on external expectations or societal norms, they can set intentions that resonate with their innermost desires and contribute to their overall sense of fulfilment and well-being. As individuals undergo inner growth and self-discovery, they become more attuned to their authentic selves. This authenticity enables them to set goals that are aligned with their core values, beliefs, and strengths. By setting goals that are true to who they are, they increase their motivation, commitment, and likelihood of success. Individuals who have deepened their inner connects and enhanced their inner awareness are the ones who have ability to cultivate and demonstrate the qualities of resilience, adaptability, and emotional intelligence. These qualities are invaluable when it comes to navigating challenges and setbacks along the path to achieving goals. Individuals who have undergone inner growth are better equipped to overcome obstacles, learn from failures, and adjust their strategies as needed to stay on course toward their goals.
Elon Musk is a great example of demonstrating resilience and adaptability that appears to be emerging from his inner transformation that has not only taught him to navigate through failures but also handle them with grace and determination. Instead of being discouraged by many initial setbacks, he viewed them as opportunities for growth and innovation. His resilience and perseverance ultimately lead to successful rocket launches, breakthroughs in electric vehicle technology, and advancements in renewable energy solutions, contributing to his reputation as a visionary leader in technology and entrepreneurship.
Therefore, imagining yourself achieving your goals can motivate you to take action towards them. By intensely imagining your desired outcomes, you can create a stronger emotional connection to your goals and increase your commitment to achieving them. When we strongly desire something, we are aligning ourselves with the energy of that desire, and in doing so, we are also drawing that desired outcome towards us. This aligns with the idea that thoughts and intentions can influence reality. I clearly remember when I left the corporate world, it was a difficult decision to transition from a lucrative corporate role to an unknown, uncharted area, that was full of challenges. However, my deep desire to do something different that impacts the society at a larger level nurtured my emotions and their connection to the purpose. I believe that my inner energies set some frequencies that attracted the frequencies of the energies of the desired purpose consequently enabling and empowering me and my team to set up the first Public Skill University.
The philosophy of Pratibignya also tells us that through deepened practices one may align themselves with the creative forces of the universe and potentially influence the reality.
  3. Skill Improvement: Inner transformation through the practice of Pratibignya can also strengthen the abilities to use mental imagery or visualization techniques, which are powerful tools for skill enhancement. This ability of intensely imagining themselves performing a skill with precision and confidence, individuals activate the same neural pathways in the brain that are involved in actual physical execution. Athletes, musicians, and performers often use mental imagery to rehearse movements, visualize successful outcomes, and overcome performance anxiety. As one has mastered this ability, individuals can engage in regular mental practice and visualization, consequently they can experience tangible improvements in skill execution. Studies have shown that mental rehearsal can lead to enhancements in motor skills, muscle memory, and overall performance. By consistently visualizing themselves performing a skill flawlessly and with ease, individuals reinforce positive neural connections and increase their confidence and competence in real-world situations.
This inner transformation through the practice of Pratibignya empowers individuals to enhance their power of skill development through focused attention, mental imagery, improved execution, mind-body integration, and alignment with personal values. By cultivating a disciplined and purposeful approach to practice, individuals can unlock their full potential and achieve excellence in their chosen pursuits.
There are many examples that one can relate with. Take the case of Oprah Winfrey, known for her powerful and inspirational speeches. She attributes much of her success to the practice of visualization. Before delivering presentations or interviews, she visualizes herself speaking with clarity, conviction, and authenticity. This mental rehearsal helps her overcome stresses, connect with her audience, and deliver messages that inspire and empower millions of people around the globe. Similarly, AR Rehman before composing music or performing on stage, he visualizes himself creating melodies, harmonies, and rhythms that evoke emotions and connect with listeners on a profound level. This mental rehearsal allows him to tap into his creativity, intuition, and musical expression with greater depth and authenticity. These examples demonstrate how individuals across various domains leverage inner transformation and mental imagery to enhance their skills, creativity, and performance. This is only possible when one has learnt to tap into their inner resources and aligning with their true essence in order to unlock their full potential and inspire others to embark on their own journeys of self-discovery and mastery. It is a similar experience of that I have had while imagining the model and framework of Skill University that what we pursued, has now become one of the sought after models in the country. I recall having multiple mental imagery and visualization sessions before we actually executed it flawlessly.
The practice of Pratibignya offers a profound path for individuals to make a significant impact at both the Physical, Mental, Emotional and Spiritual levels of existence. Its practice enables individuals to engage with the world in a purposeful and effective manner. By cultivating awareness, discernment, and intentionality, individuals can navigate their external circumstances with clarity, resilience, and compassion.
Pratibignya empowers individuals to make a significant impact at both the gross and subtle levels of existence, fostering personal growth, societal transformation, and spiritual evolution. By embracing the path of self-awareness, self-mastery, and self-realization, individuals can contribute to the collective awakening of humanity and the realization of a more conscious and compassionate world.
Just like the characters in “3 Idiots” discover the transformative power of friendship, authenticity, and pursuing their passions, individuals can also experience profound changes through inner transformation nurtured by the practice of Pratibignya. Through this inner transformation, we not only enhance our own lives but also inspire others to embark on their own journey of self-discovery and fulfilment.
